Courage: the Great Wave of Change

Courage: the Great Wave of Change

Are you brave? Do you courageously meet life’s challenges without batting an eye? Or are you the lion in Wizard of Oz who trembles in fear …longing for the instinct of courage that grants us the heart to face each day. Powerful universal energies are pushing us to the brink of assurance as we encounter the Great Wave of Change that is turning everything topsey turvey. There’s unprecedented uncertainty in the global economy, politics, religions, health … everything. It’s so tempting to hide under the covers and postpone the intense karmic demands of this Shift of the Ages.

How do we boldly open to the moment when instinct exclaims: “run for the hills?” Current transformational forces leave no stone unturned. There’s no place to hide. We need to drum up the gumption to go forward into this vibrational blizzard—face the unknown and stay open to the cosmic line of fire illuminating our soul’s destiny. What areas of your life are demanding an act of courage? Preparation time has run out. Now is the moment to evoke the gritty determination to meet these challenges. Postponement only shrinks self-esteem. Courage begets confidence, not the other way around.

Courage springs from the call of the soul that fills us with the passion to believe in ourselves and take a stand without crumbling.  Do you have the guts to follow your soul? When you chicken out do you fall into a pile of shame, longing for the valor to step up the plate?

People who climb Mt. Everest, compete in the Olympics, perform in Carnegie Hall, rescue others from a burning building are the brave ones… not us! We long for their grit. But overt acts of bravery aren’t the only barometers of courage. It also takes pluck to leave a stagnant career loaded with benefits, be honest with others, broadcast to the world our true identity, and confront parents… even get up in the morning.

We project courage onto others—assuming they’re naturally lionhearted—to abdicate responsibility for our own boldness. It’s tempting to hide by identifying ourselves as fraidy-cats. But Divine Dauntlessness is equally available to all. Courage develops through practice. Everyone is spiritually mandated to draw from the sacred internal place where Spirit ignites the spunk needed to move to the front lines of full exposure to ourselves, others and Source. Courage reflects the commitment to be authentic, extend ourselves, take risks, break away, follow our dreams, move in new directions, name our feelings, approach our pain, keep the faith, accept ourselves.

Always invoked in times of dread, acts of courage are never easy. Boldness doesn’t indicate a lack of fear, but rather a willingness to move through it and out the other side. We can reference previous audacious feats as a reminder of our capacity for bravery. Even the most timid make acts of courage, however subtle. Spirit applauds us for not capitulating to the churning stomach, cold feet, sweats, spiking anxiety/dread that floods us as we approach the Chamber of Fortitude.

To identify ourself as a coward ensteels the notion that we don’t have what it takes to meet our destiny. Yet, divinely designed to evolve the soul, we’re blueprinted to handle all karmic challenges. To reference ourselves as spineless often causes us to forget, or at least discount, any prior moments of valor. We must take credit for all acts of courage. They form the foundation to take the heroic next step.

What’s the line between courage and recklessness? The need for courage persists in spite of our resistance. Devoid of discernment, recklessness is a blind response that overrides and denies the true danger of the moment. Illusions of being invincible don’t really build backbone, but rather invite disaster. Bravado is not bravery. True courage springs from the acceptance/integration of our vulnerability.

Do you mercilessly raise the bar by challenging yourself relentlessly—pushing to the front with no respite and discounting previous heroic acts as inconsequential to the next peril being conquered? We can’t keep pumping up the courage needed to ruthlessly outdare ourselves. The psyche and adrenal glands need balance via respite, intermission, regrouping, down time, ease, comfort. Maybe we’ve spent many lifetimes riding the adrenaline rush of developing courage and need to recuperate by nestling into the safe zone’s cushiness. Others, chronically skittish, may be mandated to focus this lifetime on becoming spunky and resisting the impulse to flee.  Internal guidance indicates whether we’re burning out adrenal glands vs. stagnating in a milksop bog.

To force ourselves to override sensitivities, deep wounds and/or the needs of our inner child in order to satisfy ambitious agendas is a cruel, self-abusive form of courage that creates a brutal internal boot camp. We must carefully assess the needs of our soul. Sometimes it takes courage to give ourselves permission to retreat, wait, rest, heal. Timing is everything. Self-judgments of cowardice only hurt the soul. To override ourselves isn’t bravery but rather a lack of self-acceptance.

We need to compassionately embrace and learn from the cowardly lion within rather than judge and slay it with shame. Everyone has a pocket of cowardice that represents parts of the soul traumatized in childhood and previous lifetimes. This timorousness provides an alchemical counterpart to our Gallant Knighthood—teaching humility, vulnerability, sensitivity and tenderness toward injured places that need safeguarding from courage’s overriding gusto.

Many of us are going through a profound healing crisis as the old self collides with the emerging empowered self. To move in the direction of complete soul health, we need courage to create new patterns that propel us beyond the comfort zone of stifling coping mechanisms that buffered/protected us in the past. Our healing eventually brings us to the juncture where we must bravely express the new self and function in ways that previously felt dangerous to our inner child.

Imagine life without courage. We’d never explore new internal/external frontiers. Our world would shrink, self-confidence evaporate, self-respect dwindle as the voices of danger encroach in all parts of our lives, eager to feed on spinelessness.

Courage is developed by saying YES to the immediacy of the moment, no more preparation time, and remembering that we have all the resources needed to meet every challenge. Then we call upon the Mountain of Fortitude within, everyone’s birthright that pumps its fire into our system to burn away the sticky web of fear that enshrouds the soul. We become keenly focused, not looking back, and listen to our heart’s guidance. This stimulates the heart, the center of courage, to flow its gallant energy. Every courageous moment, intensely meaningful for the soul, ripples through the aura and heals all previous moments of cowardice. We discover our noble greatheartedness and the world is ours.

The Tibetan boldly approaches—filled with the courage to care so deeply about humankind. He teaches:

“The New Cosmic Day is compelling humankind to release cowardice and bravely undergo radical change. Evolution requires the soul to open in the face of the unknown. Courage is essential to this process. All acts of courage arise from a commitment to self’s unforeseeable emerging truth. Everyone is required to develop courage without lingering in guardedness. This is not the time to be a quitter. Courage evokes a core passion that defines the soul. To put the soul on the line stimulates past life memories of danger that instigated a collapse into a withering cage of diminishment that curtailed soul magnitude.

“Source has bestowed upon all of humanity a bank account of valor that can be tapped whenever needed. If not utilized, this account fades into the unconscious and self feels dangerously exposed to the Path with no resources of dauntlessness. But humankind’s birthright of intrepid mettle springs forth immediately when consciously invoked. Release the illusion that self is too fainthearted to access the courage needed to face the momentousness of today’s changes. The Spirit of Courage, emanating from the spirit plane, is divinely mandated to catalyze the fire in the soul needed to embrace its mystery and ultimately discover there is no danger in the Universe.  The soul references this wisdom when resolutely moving forth through the illusion of precariousness forearmed with the core safeness inherent in Source’s Love for self.

“Present potent energies afford tremendous opportunities to practice courage.  Humankind is being called to dare challenge habitual beliefs that are obsolete/irrelevant to the new consciousness, take risks that serve the soul, radically transform, release all defenses, hold an open mind, display self’s magnitude, be a truthsayer, follow self’s visions, trust the heart. The rewards of this great discipline of courage are freedom from fear, empowerment, deepened self-worth, the ability to let go, increased authority, adventure, transformation.

“The Masters and Angelic Force align with every stance of courage taken by humankind. No one is ever exposed alone or unsupported. Students’ willingness/ability to commit acts of courage stems from a deep awareness of the Great Presence of all those who help, support and make possible the journey by lending their mighty energy to self’s force field. This fusion of spirit with human establishes the Platform of Courage that expands the aura. When self feels large, fear dissolves. Humankind discovers how easy it is to be brave when great forces are augmenting self’s fortitude. Borrow courage from the Masters until self feels it springing from within. Identify self as the hero and know that the quest for the Holy Grail awaits all who adventure forth.”

Reading Tarot Cards: What If You Could Change The Future?

Reading Tarot Cards: What If You Could Change The Future?

Who does not have a situation occur that they wished they could change? Every once in awhile, something in life hits you, and you cannot help but think – I wish I could go back in time and change what just happened.

Unfortunately, time machines only exist in fictional movies and books. But what if you could change the future? What if you could make sure that something coming that would change your life for the worse did not happen?

That is one of the main reasons people seek fortune tellers. Most are trying to discover what the future is, especially the bad future, and how they can cheat it.

1) Knowing changes things

If you have never had a tarot reading, you may not understand how it works. Even if you have had a good tarot reading, you may still not understand exactly what a tarot reading is for.

A tarot reading is not like looking into a crystal ball. It is not the myth of the old gypsy woman sitting in front of you, with a scarf wrapped around her head and a crystal ball on the table, telling you exactly what will happen every second of every day of your life.

Tarot is, instead, a way to see into yourself, and a way to get a glimpse past the veil that is the difference between the present and the future.

It is like a child who walks back stage and pulls the curtain aside for only a moment, just getting a glimpse of what is on stage. This is why some people have a very hard time getting a tarot reading done.

Most people head to a tarot reader, believing that they are going to come out with a map of their future, and leave, instead, with the knowledge that the reader has just looked deeply into their soul.

2) To know where you have been

A wise man once said – Only after knowing where you have been, can you tell where you are going.

Only by knowing what type of a person you are, can you recognize what type of decisions you would make when a situation occurs. This is often the hardest for people getting a tarot reading to hear.

We usually put blinders on when it comes to recognizing the type of person we are. I know that when I hear something about myself, something that I did not want to hear, I tend to deny it. This is the reason that some people come away from tarot readings upset and in denial.

It is true, though, that before we can change the future, we need to know what type of a person we are. If you are an impulsive person, with a bit of a free spirit in you, you will make a completely different decision about a situation than you would if you were an obsessive person who loved things orderly and neat.

One of the things that you need to know is that, according to the tarot, things are not set in stone. Things can change as long as you keep your eyes, and your heart, open.

3) The Wheel Of Fortune

In order to understand the wheel of fortune, you have to think about the carnival. It never fails: in almost every carnival, there is a man or woman with a large wheel that is marked with prizes or money denominations.

Round and round she goes, the carnie will say, where she stops, nobody knows. Eventually the wheel slows and the spinner lands on something. This is what The Wheel of Fortune is all about.

It is meant to show that no matter wherever the person is in life, they can change their situation with a little knowledge and a little effort.

If you are reading the cards, it can signify a change of fortune for the person, or it could represent an opportunity that will soon become available.

This opportunity may be difficult to see, or may be available for only a short time, so the seeker needs to understand that they have to jump on the opportunity when it arises, or risk losing the chance for forever.

If The Wheel of Fortune pops up in response to a specific question, the card means that the person should take a few steps back and look into themselves, and at the bigger picture.

The Wheel of Fortune is definitely one of the better cards to get during a tarot reading, but remember, it should not take seeing The Wheel of Fortune in order for you to change your life. Little changes can happen every day.

Waiting for my change

Waiting for my change

 Waiting for my change

Change can best be described as making something different from what it is or from what it would be if left alone. Ovid states: All things change, nothing is extinguished. There is nothing in the whole world which is permanent. Everything flows onward; all things are brought into being with a changing nature; the ages themselves glide by in constant movement.

Job 14:13-14 O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me! If a man dies, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.

Job’s three friends came to comfort him, but they ended up criticizing him.  Mortal human beings are far too ignorant to understand fully the ways of God. For us to fit God into our own little “theological boxes” is to limit Him and make Him less than God.

Job appeals for sympathy. His friends did not show love and understanding; to them Job was a theological problem, not a suffering saint.  Job then appeals for a chance to confront God.  Job appeals to his basic integrity.  He denies that he is secretly a sinner. He knows his own heart.  He appeals to his faith in God.  Yet God seemed to have abandoned Job.   He then appeals to die.  He asks God to hide him in a grave; a place where he can find rest until the situation had past and that God would remember him.

Today you might be in the midst of some of life’s unfortunate storms.  Like Job the storms may not be a result of anything you have done or even brought upon yourself.  Maybe you have sought help, counsel or support from friends and can’t find any love or understanding. As we read in Job some events in life are for an appointed time.  In other words trouble will not last always.  Job realized that even in death there is a change.  All the days of our life are in God’s hand and when we are facing the storms of life, whether physical, spiritual, mental, emotional or even financial.

One of the most inspiring individuals I have read about is Theodore Roosevelt, our 26th President.  He was the youngest president in U.S. History.  As a child he was weak and sickly for many years.  While being confined to the indoors he developed a love for reading and learning.  Upon entering the presidency, Roosevelt had established a style of his own that he retained throughout his life. He was a reformer. He challenged convention to achieve what he believed to be morally right. He handled controversy well, a trait essential for someone with his thirst for quick action.  He had learned to adapt to change.

Franklin Roosevelt says “When you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on. Today if you are suffering any hardship, be encouraged this too (name it) shall pass. And like Job, wait for your change to come.  I’m waiting for my change !!  So let’s wait together.  Be Blessed.  God loves you and so do I….Pastor Tammy

Can Astrology Change Your Faith? -2

Can Astrology Change Your Faith? -2

In Shrimad Bhagwad, Shree Hari says:

“Yatha Dhenu Sahastreshu Vatso Vindati Maatram,

Tatha poorv kritam karmam kartar Manughachti”

This means that Karmas are like a young calf. You leave the calf in a herd of thousand cows, and still it will find its mother. This is same with Karmas. They will follow you through all your births. No matter how much you hide, no matter how many births you have crossed; they will always find you in the end.

So destiny is nothing but the outcome of Karmas. In certain Nadis, I have seen two separate predictions for a single person. They remark about Karmas and how karmas control destiny. Your Sanchit Karmas are the deeds that you have already performed and heaped during your previous incarnations.

Your prarabdha is that part of Sanchita which is ready to be experienced. Then you have Kriyanvan which you are doing today based on your will.

Sanchita and Prarabhdha are destined and fated. While Kriyanvan and Agam are controlled by your will. It is Kriyanvan and Agam which destine your Prarabhdha or future. So in a way your actions can always control your destiny to some account.

Mantras, yajnas and tantra can definitely minimize the effects of Prarabhdha and Sanchita. But remedies have a locked system. Only your good karmas will make you meet a good astrologer or mantric. Your bad Deeds or Kriyanman will lead you to a crook or thug who will only rob you off your peace, time and money.

Saturn in retrogression, Saturn moon together, Saturn Mars together, Saturn rahu in twelfth house denotes some strong past deeds that can trouble your present lifestyle.

Parivartan yoga between sixth and fifth shows renanubandhan from the side of child.

There is always a link of fifth house and tenth house from several births. There is some links between the ascendants of two partners, when you watch for seventh positions from Gulika or Mandi.

Links between births can be seen through previous planets placed before Jupiter and tenth and fifth house lords. Astrology is very interesting and horoscope requires much deeper involvement and interpretations. Your horoscope is your cosmic address. A true astrologer can always read these cosmic patterns and reveal your present course.

How to Have Lucid Dreams and Change Your Destiny

How to Have Lucid Dreams and Change Your Destiny

Lucid dreaming may occur intentionally or quite by accident. Many often have a lucid dream by accident and realize they can control the destiny of their dreams. A lucid dream occurs when the dreamer realizes he’s asleep and dreaming and takes control of the dream. It may be to solve a problem in waking life, control a problem within the dream or simply direct the dream to an enjoyable experience. Athletes, actors and dancers often practice their avocation during a lucid dream.

Everyone has had a lucid dream at least once in a lifetime. Some people learn very early that they can control their dreams and later use them for problem solving, control of nightmares or visualizing a course of action for the next day.

One subject realized early in life there was a possibility of lucid dreaming. As a child, a reoccurring nightmare plagued her when she slept. One of the nightmares involved a scene from a battleground. Hundreds of people, men women, children and babies were trying to escape the battlefield but they had to climb a steep icy slope to get to safety. Night after night, she watched in her dream as people would almost reach the top and slide back down the slope to the bottle. She’d awake in tears, beads of perspiration speckling her forehead as she saw babies attempt to climb to safety and slide back down to the abyss of danger as their parents, grappled and ended in the same fate.

After almost a month, she decided to create an ending for the dream that saved the people. Up until that time, she was the omniscient viewer. Now, it was time to take an active participation in the dream. The dreamer created an ending to her dream. One where she joined the people, had planes awaiting that dropped lines to pull the people up and away from the war. She actively participated in the dream and after several nights, the nightmare no longer occurred. At that point, she learned to control other nightmares she had and eventually use dreaming as a problem solving method.

Most people don’t record their dreams immediately upon waking. By the time they’ve had their morning shower, most of the details of the dream are fuzzy at best. People who use lucid dreaming as a method of solving problems, however, are different. Often they implant the problem in their mind before they go to sleep and tell themselves they’ll find an answer.

They direct their dreams to the problem at hand; look at the solutions provided in their subconscious and upon awakening, immediately record the results of a dream. While the first attempt may not bring an immediate solution, it often brings them closer to their goals. The dreamer may not control the dream but simply watch, fully aware that it’s a dream and use the information during the waking hours.

Lucid dreaming can occur without previous training. At some point in the middle of the dream, the lucid dreamer suddenly realizes he or she is in a dream and there’s nothing to fear. From that moment, the nightmare ceases being scary or the pleasant dream becomes even better. People learning new physical or mental skills often use lucid dreaming to practice routines, learn the material or solve problems they couldn’t during waking hours. It is a tool everyone, with a little practice, can use to improve his or her life.

Pills Can Change Your Destiny

Pills Can Change Your Destiny

‘Pills can change your destiny’ is printed in my prescriptions, notice boards and in all vantage points of my clinic. Often patients ask

‘Doctor, how can destiny be changed with mere pills?’ “Suppose I die today in an accident, it is my fate. How pills can change it?” “Doctor, I completely disagree with you” “How can you state so with authority? Can you explain?”

Yes. I admit that my very intention is to provoke such questions. When I answer I can emphasize the significance of the pills.

SHALL WE SEE HOW?

About fifty years ago, TB, Leprosy and such contagious diseases were incurable. An afflicted person will inevitably die in a few years. His family will console itself that “All that is written in his fate” “Everything is in accordance with one’s fate” and such. Since Biblical times Leprosy was considered as ‘God’s wrath’. But today, the phenomenal growth in medical science and technology enables a complete cure for TB and Leprosy. If proper tablets are taken for six months 100% cure is sure. Patients fated’ to face death are entirely curable now. Their life span can even be extended.

So is the case is with Diabetes or Thyroid deficiency.  A century ago insulin was invented to cure Type1 diabetes or Insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus (IDDM). If an eight years old child is infected before its invention, it is condemned to die in a matter of two years.  Wasim Akram is a renowned left arm fast bowler with many records to his credit. He is in fact a diabetes patient taking insulin regularly. Had this very same bowler, a contemporary legend, was born about 200 years ago, imagine what would have been his fate?

Before two hundred years, if a young girl acquired thyroid deficiency, she will suffer from obesity, leathery skin and constipation.  She will become too tired to do any work. Her heart muscles will become weak and she will die. This is due to a condition called cardio-myopathy. But now cardio-myopathy can be prevented with Thyroid tablets like Eltroxin, Thyronorm etc. Regular use of these tablets can cure her. She can live longer without any problems.

Bio-Enzymes like thyroxin, insulin have to be secreted naturally in body. If bio-enzymes are inadequate, they can be substituted by a wheat grain sized tablet invented by science. In my Mind Care Clinic and elsewhere across the world many patients seek cure for Anxiety disorders, Personality disorders and Obsession problems. Ten years ago modern medicine identified low secretion of bio-enzyme called serotonin is the cause of these problems. These problems can be satisfactorily cured by a class of medicines called Serotonin Serum Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRI).

A 35 years old male patient, and a top level executive in a MNC with an income of two lakhs per month even in India, took treatment for obsession under me. Three months after treatment he came back with his wife, brothers and parents. He presented a 100 g Gold Ganesha idol as a gift to me. I firmly ‘declined’ to accept the gift as it is against medical ethics and a crime as well. The doctor-patient relationship will be affected by such gifts. But what he said that day touched my soul. His statements are reproduced verbatim.

“Sir, had I not seen you, I would have committed suicide by this time”

“In spite of possessing all things, I felt I had nothing whatsoever Sir”

“For five years, I suffered from restlessness and also I tormented my wife to untold extremes”

“I knew full well that my thought and actions were wrong. I had spent lakhs of rupees for a change through spirituality, yoga and meditation”

“To my knowledge, I have not even fondled my very own child with involvement”

“Daily I had intercourse with my wife more like a maniac with scant respect for her feelings”

“What a great surprise Sir! A wheat grain sized pill completely changed my life upside down. Had I taken this pill about seven years ago I would have owned now a big concern like Infosys or HCL”

“Before seeing you, I had resigned myself to my fate that everything is over for me”

After pondering over his admissions, I recorded the statement in my diary.

“PILLS CAN CHANGE YOUR DESTINY”

I do not say this to blow my own trumpet or to boast and brag. Any good and qualified psychiatrist would have done the same. I have seen hundreds of patients like him cured by these pills. Every day, these pills are prescribed worldwide by psychiatrists.

Science is but empirically proven facts.

Millions of dollars are spent for systematic research for pills. Clinical trials of pills are carried out on lakhs of patients. Invariable cure for the disease without any major side effects is to be demonstrated. Then only governing agencies permit doctors like me to prescribe the pills. This being the case, claims like “I have cured the disease” is infantile and unscientific.

Some claim the following.

“Allopathic drugs are prone to give side effects” “ Kidneys will be affected” “Stomach ulcers will ensue” “Herbal medicines cause no side effects” “ “English medicines are not suitable to my body at all. Only Homeopathy, Siddha and Ayurvedha preparations are amenable to me”

These assertions are indicative of ignorance and or sheer gullibility.

In alternate medical systems like Homeopathy, Siddha and Ayurvedha there may really be good therapeutic procedures. Being unlettered in these fields, I should not write about them. They are country and culture based systems. For instance, Siddha medicine was practiced in India by Siddhars hundreds of years ago even before scientific advances have taken place. At that point in time, they would have traveled to Trichy from Chennai, using bullock carts or on horseback. They would have reached their destination in two or three days. Today aircrafts take a mere thirty minutes for the same distance. Can we say that they were foolish then?

Siddha medicine is our own indigenous medical system. It is indeed true that we should preserve its rare treasures for posterity. But instead of empty rhetoric, we need to meticulously research and subject the findings to globally accepted metrics and standards. It is disheartening to see the advertisements of certain fraudsters in the media who care not a bit for any scientific research and objective experimentation. They have a singular motive of fleecing the credulous public. We cannot fault the medical system as is but we must also ensure that the practitioners should refrain from deceitful promises.

Science is common or universal and objective in nature. Contemporary science will continue to grow and evolve further through unceasing research and experimentation. Hence is it not sensible to gladly accept scientific progress of today as such?

In practice we do appreciate the fruits of scientific progress like computers, cell phones, satellites. We relish using them with out any qualms. Yet when it comes to medical science, we strangely we tend to prefer two centuries old anachronisms

Reason

Superstitions, lack of awareness coupled with scheming skills of ‘Artful Dodgers’ namely fraudulent gurus, ‘reputed’ quack doctors, and utterly dishonest self serving politicians keep us ignorant for their personal benefits.

These very same religious heads and unashamed politicians rush to corporate hospitals for treatment at the drop of a hat. Be it for an ordinary fever or for “check up and rest” they choose multi specialty hospitals only. They are not ashamed to sermonize to the general population that “God will cure”

For this ignominious condition to change, young doctors (including alternate medicine doctors who study for five and a half years courses like BSMS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS) should be enlightened. We should aggressively protest against government approval issued to set up private medical colleges. People who secured a meager 35% in higher secondary education but manage to get MBBS seat by paying thirty lakhs donation, must be prevented by stringent rules from getting registration in organizations like IMA.

Is it fair to allow desecration of medical profession by these dupes who procure MBBS with money? Their aim is to bargain a bigger dowry by virtue of this degree. In addition they have a shameless desire to exhibit their procured MBBS in marriage invitation. Is it just and fair for the state and central governments to collaborate with these cheats?

I repeat with a slight modification. “Destinies of most us can be won over by pills”
